Dr. Sara Poldmae, L.Ac., DACM

Meadow Hill’s founder, Dr. Sara Poldmae, Licensed Acupuncturist, is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She is also a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner. She is also a yoga instructor. Dr. Sara completed her Doctorate at Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, California. Her training has included over 4,000 hours in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Western Medicine Sciences.

Dr. Sara is passionate about helping her patients to reach optimal levels of health through Acupuncture and natural health care. She has a strong focus on women’s healthcare, including fertility, PCOS, PMS and menopausal issues.

Dr. Sara works closely with her patients’ team of physicians and health care practitioners.She opened Meadow Hill Wellness in 2005, with the goal of integrating traditional and holistic care in order to effectively maintain her patients’ lifelong health.

Sara lives in Annapolis with her 20 year old daughter, husband, 2 dogs, a kitty and 10 chickens. When Dr. Sara isn’t working, you may find her around town engaged in charitable causes, traveling, cooking and enjoying time with family and friends. Her most recent passion is hosting wellness retreats, both domestically and internationally.

Kate Lorenz, L.Ac.

Licensed Acupuncturist Kate Lorenz received her Master of Acupuncture degree from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, in 2013.  Kate’s passion for Chinese Medicine continually deepens through witnessing her patients experience relief from suffering and improvement in their quality of life. She loves to introduce the transformational gifts of acupuncture to new and nervous patients, and she especially loves working with youth from early adolescent age onwards.  

Kate often provides Gua Sha and cupping therapy to relieve physical pain and improve mobility, and she enjoys working with her patients to create changes to diet and lifestyle habits that promote feeling well and living fully.  Kate’s goal is to guide and empower her patients along their healing journeys, and she is dedicated to providing practical tools, being a calming presence, and lending a compassionate ear.  

Kate has particular experience treating inflammation, muscle and joint pain, anxiety, digestive issues, allergies and congestion, skin conditions, headaches, vertigo, nausea, and hormonal and menstrual imbalances.  

Outside of the clinic, you can find Kate trail running, cooking, and traveling.

 

Zoey Dietz, L.Ac.

Zoey Dietz, Licensed Acupuncturist, graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2021 with her Master’s degree in Acupuncture. Prior to her acupuncture education, she received her undergraduate degree in Dietetics and worked as a nutritionist and health coach. Zoey was drawn to acupuncture as a healing system based in the cycles and rhythms of nature and the interconnection of body-mind-spirit. She is a strong proponent of supporting others to feel empowered in their health journey.

Zoey specializes in women’s health, working with women at all stages of life. Zoey has a passion for supporting women with their menstrual cycles, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum.

She also has experience treating digestive health conditions, supporting patients with emotional health and wellbeing, and treating pain conditions.

It is Zoey’s vision to make her life’s work a contribution to The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible. She is thankful to be able to cultivate wellness and partnership within the Annapolis community. When she is not in the clinic, Zoey enjoys spending time with her husband and son, reading books, going on nature walks, and foraging.
